Updated Tuesday August 8, 2017 by Dan Stewart.

GEORGIA TEAMS represented the state and our programs extremely well this year at the 2017 Dixie World Series held in Alexandria, Louisiana and Sumter, South Carolina. The Georgia Angels Traditional team from Jones County National League once again played on the last day of the tournament and cam home as the runner-up in that division. A 4-2 loss to North Carolina knocked our girls out of the tournament and North Carolina went on to win the World Series. The rest of our teams did very well on the field and THREE OF OUR TEAMS came home with the Sportsmanship Award. The SeeTees from Jones County National League, Taylor County Darlings and the Ponytails X-Play from Crawford County were all awarded the James "Obie" Evans Sportsmanship Award in their divisions. CONGRATULATIONS TO  the girls, the coaches, the fans, directors and communtiies represented by these exceptional teams. I am very proud of all y'all accomplished this year.

See everyone next year!!! Dan Stewart
